By moving on I don’t mean to start seeing someone new (you can if you want) but cutting off all the contacts with the person you need to let go of. You need to understand that continuously checking their feed and status won’t help the process but will worsen your condition. Once you decide to cut contacts with the person, make sure you do not disturb them again by any means.

  1. Take your time

Many people think that moving on is a quick process but trust me it takes months or years to let go of someone you have earnestly loved. How can you let go of someone you loved? By taking all the time you need. Healing takes time and you don’t have to rush the process but just go with the flow.

  1. Learn to forgive

The most crucial step of letting go of someone is to forgive the person. One can never truly move forward in life with grudges in the heart. You need to understand the fact that you have to forgive them not for them but yourself and move forward with a clean and light heart.

  1. Grieve thoroughly

You don’t always have to come out of a relationship gracefully. Sometimes, you have to cry your heart out, vent out your feelings, and isolate yourself if you want. Rejection, isolation, fury, and depression are all very normal in the process of letting go of someone you love.

  1. Practice gratitude and self-love

Now that you have accepted the situation you need to love yourself.
